This year we are joining the Red Shoes Rock movement to raise #FASDAwareness. Red Shoes Rock has reached over 250,000 people in 45 languages ad 63 countries and is the brainchild of R.J. Formanek, an FASD educator and self-advocate living with FASD.
Red Shoes Rock One Step at a Time: to participate, put on your RED SHOES and when someone asks about your shoes – tell them about FASD – what it is, how we can prevent it and how to support persons with FASD. We’d love to see your pictures of you rocking your red shoes so don’t forget to tag us @fasdcentral.
What you can expect on September 10:
8:30—12:30 – HUB on Ross Speakers, door prizes, STARFISH Awards
11:30– 11:50 — Rock out FASD Awareness on the 9 Block Walk
11:45—12:30 – Free BBQ on Ross St. Patio (in front of the HUB on Ross)
Get your Red Shoes Rock On. No red shoes? Don’t let that stop you from participating in the fun – red socks, red flops or red toenails will do.
All are welcome to join us & Rock your Reds.
